What is the Cooperative Realm?
It's somewhere relatively near our speck of the galaxy, a few hundred (thousand?) years from now. Humanity has spread to the stars but brought all our beautiful contradictions with us.
The Cooperative Realm runs things—sort of. They mean well, mostly. But out on the edge worlds, their reach gets fuzzy. That's where people like Frankie make their living, hauling cargo between stations and trying not to get noticed by the Central District.
Meanwhile, worlds like Arkhide, not in the embrace of the Cooperative, have problems of their own.
This is space opera for readers who:
- Believe the future can include kindness
- Know that "nobody's wrong" doesn't mean nobody gets hurt
- Think cats would absolutely get cybernetic enhancements if they could
- Want adventures that acknowledge trauma without wallowing in it
- Prefer their heroes human-sized, not chosen ones
Content Notes: These books contain some violence (mostly the "oh no, the ship's about to explode" variety), moral complexity, and occasional strong language when things go very wrong. No sexual assault, no grimdark futures, no torture scenes. Just people trying their best in a complicated universe.
